It may not feel like it but summer is fast approaching, which means it’s time for CHE summer camp registration! This year we’ll be offering camps in Banff (Alberta), Kelowna (British Columbia), Peterborough (Ontario), Whistler (BC) and Lake Placid (New York).
CHE is known for bringing in celebrity guest instructors for a few days each summer and this year is no different as we’ll be joined by Mike Fisher and Corey Perry!!
Mike, whose in his first year of retirement, has excelled in hockey his whole life, no matter what level he played and has been a captain or assistant with almost team he has suited up for. Whether it was with the Peterborough Minor Petes growing up, the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL and of course, most recently, as captain of the NHL’s Nashville Predators. Mike has won several awards during his playing career and still continues to be recognized, being named Tennessee’s Pro Athlete of the Year in January; an award he will collect on June 16th.
What can we say about Corey Perry? One of the most decorated pro athletes of his generation, Cory has pretty much won every team and individual award there is in hockey. Also a product of the Peterborough Minor Petes system, Corey went on to excel with the London Knights where he won the Memorial Cup, shutting out Sidney Crosby’s Rimouski Océanic in the final. Currently playing for the Anaheim Ducks, the team that drafted him, Corey has won a Stanley Cup, Hart Trophy (league MVP) and the Maurice Richard trophy (league’s top scorer), amongst many other honours. Corey has also won gold with Canada on five different occasions!
We are beyond excited to have these two superstars, both former CHE campers, as special guest instructors this summer and we look forward to seeing them pass on their hockey knowledge to the next generation of superstars.
Registration is open and you can secure a spot online at http://www.chehockey.com/youth-hockey-schools-camps
